Eagle’s Perch is an immaculate, spacious, three bedroom cottage featuring spectacular Mountain Views of Acadia National Park, as well as distant Ocean Views of Frenchman Bay. “Perched“ up high on a hill, it is conveniently located just close enough to downtown Bar Harbor, but at the same time, just far enough away to feel like a retreat.
The original estate on this site was designed by renowned architect William Ralph Emerson in 1882 for William B. Howard of Chicago, who was reputed to have laid more miles of railroad than any man in the country. Mossley Hall, as it was known, was torn down in 1945.
The first floor features a king bedroom, bathroom (shower only) with laundry, kitchen, dining area, living room and Sun-Room. The second floor features a Master King bedroom with sleeper sofa as well as a Queen bedroom which is also furnished with a sleeper sofa. There is a full bath that can be accessed from the Master bedroom and the hall. The cottage is outfitted with hardwood floors throughout and a gas fireplace in the living room.
Amenities of the cottage include Full Kitchen, Washer/Dryer, WiFi, Gas Fireplace, Smart TV’s throughout, Mountain View Sun-Room, Single Car Garage. Guests of Eagles Perch also have full access to the amenities provided by the Atlantic Eyrie Lodge (located across the street), including the heated Salt Water Pool, and free Continental Breakfast .
Eagle’s Perch is located at 5 Norman Road, just minutes from Acadia National Park, the Park Loop Road, hiking trails and carriage roads.
All the pleasures of downtown Bar Harbor are within a short walk and even shorter drive.
